# Wellbeing Policy

We recognize that working in a small business is hard; it is hard not to have the success and failures of the organization reflect on your daily life.

At rTraction we have the additional layer of benefit and complexity that we share our financial results and provide information that would normally be purview of a ‘leadership team’ or a select group. We believe that group decision making/information gathering will lead to better results; we also recognize that having access to this information can cause additional strain on the work-life integration of our people.

We believe that having access to information - good or bad - is a best practice. We also recognize that the raw unedited information on either side of the spectrum can cause uncertainty.

In support of our employees we offer the following points of clarity:

1. An employee may request from the Controller or the CEO a candid overview of what the employment prospects are for their position at any given time - both in the short term and long term view.
2. A personal day may be used for activities related to mitigating the stress caused by having access to any financial information.
3. If an employee discloses that they are looking for other work or considering the same, the corporation will not take any punitive/retaliatory actions.
4. Employee may request their manager / CEO be used as a reference; such a request will not be withheld based on the fact that the employee is currently on staff (other circumstances such as willingness to give a reference in general remain reserved).
5. A one on one coaching session can be booked with the CEO to have a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the corporation.

\
For greater clarity, the employee is entitled to:

1. Take personal days off to mitigate stress caused by the access to information;
2. Use personal days to look for alternative work opportunities (without penalty) if the uncertainty of a small business is causing strain.
3. Have the most correct and up to date information in order to make the best decision for them and their family at any given time.

We hope that by having access to information and the clarity provided therein that our team is able to be better aligned with our vision and core ways of operating. We also believe that the ability to problem solve and harvest the wisdom of our team is enhanced by not selectively or manipulating information before consumption.
